Beacon International Trips

Events

As the world becomes increasingly inter-connected, thanks to advancements in technology, media and modes of travel, it is crucial that students experience life in different cultures and are given the opportunity to benefit from educational resources outside the countries they live in. It is for this reason that Beacon school introduced International Trips to the package it offers its students. Beacon International Trips provide students with unique targeted learning experiences which are usually absent during family travels.

Beacon School’s maiden educational trip outside Ghana was a trip to the United Kingdom for Secondary students. Whilst in the UK, the students spent time in schools – participating in lessons and interacting with students at “Chiltern Hills Academy” in Chesham and “The Beacon” in Chesham Bois, Buckinghamshire, UK. They also visited tourist sites such as the London Eye, and interactive museums such the London Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, the British Museum. The students also had the opportunity to fellowship at St Mary’s Church in Chesham.

In future, Beacon School will be organising educational trips to several other locations, including Dubai, France and Israel.
